Michael Giesse: new Sales and Business Development Manager at Hordijk Verpackungen GmbH in Heusenstamm

Michael Giesse is the new Sales and Business Development Manager at Hordijk Verpackungen GmbH in Heusenstamm, a subsidiary of Dutch market leader Hordijk Verpakkingen in Zaandam in thermoformed food packaging made of PET and PP.
Hordijk Verpakkingen, which won several awards for innovations in recycling, focuses entirely on mono material packaging, as it is much better and easier to recycle. The family-run company, which has been around since 1922, has several production sites in the Netherlands. In 2021, the plant in Zaandam was significantly expanded to meet the steadily increasing demand from home and abroad. With the appointment of Michael Giesse, Hordijk Verpakkingen, which has held the designation "Royal" since 2022, expects to offer customers and interested parties in Germany and neighbouring markets a competent and relationship-oriented Sales and Business Development Manager.
About Michael Giesse
Giesse started his career at the Freudenberg Group in Weinheim. After several years working in Belgium and the US, he continued his career in the food packaging industry in 2004 at Nomacorc, the world's largest manufacturer of PE wine corks. After holding various positions in the packaging industry, Giesse took over responsibility of the Hordijk sales office in Heusenstamm near Frankfurt in mid-August 2023.
"I look forward to working with our customers and partners in the D-A-CH region," says Giesse, "I have been active in the food packaging industry for 20 years, mainly in the field of lids, caps and other closures for food packaging. My goal is to make Hordijk better known in Germany and support our customers in their daily operations with our extensive standard range and custom-made products and our sustainable packaging solutions."
